Gallery 2 - Into Abstraction
Having been recently studying the many different artists that work with abstract ideas, I was influenced by legends like Jim Dine, Gerhard Richter and contemporary artists such as Tom Moore, Keith Tyson and Rob Newton. Here is a selection of my current work - abstract landscapes and work influenced by colour, light and pattern combine with new materials to create expressionist work that is bang up to date.
This work reflects life in the 21st century by taking modern materials to create artworks that work both in the home environment and can sit comfortably in industrial and commercial workplaces too.
I want my work to impart a certain energy and evoke emotion in the viewer. I like the fact my work promotes discussion and engages people. Like staring in the embers of a fire, or making shapes in clouds, our minds start to pick out shapes and forms as a consequence.
Please contact me directly if you wish to purchase any of my work or would like it for exhibition.
